Role Overview:

Are you looking to start your career in accounting? We are seeking an Accounts Trainee to join our dynamic team. This is an entry-level role, perfect for individuals pursuing ACCA Level 1 / FIA or those with a strong interest in the accounting field. You will gain hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, and client management while receiving mentorship and training to develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Financial Transactions:

  • Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Support journal entry preparation and adjustments.

Financial Reporting & Accounting:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Support in maintaining general ledger accounts.
  • Work closely with senior team members on financial analysis.

Client Support & Administrative Tasks:

  • Help collect and organize financial data and documentation from clients.
  • Provide support during client meetings by preparing financial reports.
  • Assist with tax compliance, including VAT and payroll tax filing.

Training & Development:

  • Receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced professionals.
  • Gain experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.).
  • Learn best practices in financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the accounting team.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Pursuing ACCA Level 1 / FIA (Foundation in Accountancy).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is an asset but not required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
