A leading Manufacturing & Distribution company seeks to hire an Junior Level Accounts Receivable Clerk; an individual who will be responsible for providing support to the Group Finance Department through the execution of basic accounting and bookkeeping functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reconcile all cheques received in office
  • Maintain and update the Cheque Log
  • Prepare In-house lodgments reports
  • Post all debit and credit adjustments
  • Prepare and post GCT exemption documents
  • Timely communication of pick up discrepancies to Guardsman
  • Process and document returned cheques and bank charges incurred
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for returned cheques
  • Update Sharepoint with bank reference numbers and ensure that lodgments are verified and sent to Cashiers for posting in a timely manner
  • Reconcile all lodgments in NCB Bank account
  • Prepare the Unidentified Deposits Report
  • Prepare weekly and monthly Deposit reports
  • Any other duties that may be assigned within the scope of the job
JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES [Minimum]
  • First Degree in Accounting or any related field from an accredited tertiary level institution
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working in an accounting, credit, or receivables position
  • Proficient in using MS Office and any required bookkeeping software
  • Excellent communication skills- both in written and verbal formats
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Highly confidential with strong work ethics and the ability to work effectively within a team
