Job Summary: The Accounts Clerk reports to the Foreign Purchasing Manager and assists in the performance of varied accounts duties assuring the maintenance of proper operations and accurate records.

The Accounts Clerk reports to the Foreign Purchasing Manager and assists in the performance of varied accounts duties assuring the maintenance of proper operations and accurate records.

 

Key Responsibilities

Job Functions:

  • Assisting in the maintenance of daily accounting records including purchases and payments.
  • Assisting in other accounting functions as assigned by the Foreign Purchasing Manager.
  • The filing/retrieval/copying of documents where necessary or other tasks requested.
  • Archives and updates filing system as requested.

 

HSE Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Comply with the OSH Act 2004 and Amendment Act 2006.
  • Comply with all ROIL HSE Management System Policies and Procedures.
  • Co-operate with supervisors and managers on health and safety matters.
  • Do not interfere with systems, procedures or safeguards provided to protect their health and safety.
  • Take reasonable care of his/her own health and safety.
  • Report all health and safety concerns to the HSE & HR Manager.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or practices to your superior and the HSE & HR Manager.
  • Observe and comply all safety rules and regulations.
  • Know how to perform jobs assigned and perform them properly.
  • Not undertaking any job you do not understand. Ask your immediate superior if there are any questions or any doubt.
  • Wear/use all safety equipment required by the job to be performed.
  • Participate in safety meetings held by your superior.
  • Report all injuries immediately to your superior.
  • Cooperate with supervisors when injury and accident investigations are being done so that accident causes can be determined and corrective action taken.
  • Report any and all defective tools or equipment immediately.

 

HSE Behaviours

  • There should be no involvement in practical jokes, commonly referred to as “horse-play”.
  • Adherence to all HSE rules of the organisation at all times.
  • Report all accidents or incidents to a superior.

  • Commitment to meeting deadlines.

 

Key Deliverables:

  • Daily data entry is efficient and timely.
  • Periodic schedules are correct and timely.
  • Record filings are easily accessible.
