Accounts Associate

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our accounting outsourcing and advisory firm as a Senior Accounts Associate.

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our accounting outsourcing and advisory firm.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review of transaction coding and posting for accuracy and consistency.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, payables, and receivables accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedule.
• Prepare all necessary journals to ensure a smooth month-end closing process.
• Maintain bi-monthly VAT Account and prepares applicable returns.
• Compute clients’ tax liability and prepare tax returns.
• Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis.
• Assist in the review and design of accounting systems and internal controls.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial what-if scenarios.
• Assist in the performance of various advisory and consulting services.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior staff in the effective performance of their duties.
• Any other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

• BSc in Accounting or Finance 
• ACCA Level 3/ ACCA Qualified considered an asset
• 5 Years Work Experience in an Accounting Environment

SALARY:

$9,000 to $10,500 depending of knowledge, experience and skills.
