The Accounting Clerk will assist with various tasks, ensuring efficient and accurate records of accounting information, preparation of reports and schedules for proper accountability. They will report directly to the Accounting Officer and Office Manager under the supervision of the General Manager.
You will be responsible for:
• Provide accounting and Clerical support to the accounting department
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Organize and process financial transactions
• Prepare month-end reports
• Maintain financial filing systems
• Manage Accounts payable
• Assist with clerical and administrative tasks
• Perform ledger reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, tax filing, (GCT, statutory and company), internal audits and all other accounting related functions.
• Prepare weekly payroll
• Provide assistance and support to company personnel
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
Education:
• Associate Degree in Accounts, CAT Level III or its equivalent AAT
• Have at least 2 years work experience in similar position
• Proficient in Quick Books (desirable)
Knowledge and Experience:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Turbo Pay an asset
• Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
