The Accounting Officer is required to process the fortnightly unionized payroll, monthly non-unionized payroll and monthly temporary payroll as well as manage the accounts receivables reports and reconciliation for ANSA Polymer.

 

Job Description:

  • Perform and complete fortnightly unionized payroll ensuring accuracy of same and that employees are paid on time as per collective agreement.
  • Execute and conduct monthly non-unionized payroll six working days before month end and monthly temporary payroll on last working day of month, ensuring accuracy of same and that employees are paid on time.
  • Carry out reconciliations of all statutory deductions and ensure all payments are remitted to statutory bodies on or before 15th of each month.
  • Ensure the overtime report for all payrolls are completed by the 3rd working day of the following month.
  • Reconcile payroll on a quarterly basis in preparation of yearly reconciliation of TD4 slips.
  • Prepare annual TD4 reconciliation and slips and forward to ANSA McAl Ltd – Head Office’s payroll
    department by stipulated deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain employee’s payroll files and ensure that a proper filing system is in place for payroll queries.
  • Perform reconciliation of all accounts receivables and payroll sub ledgers to general ledgers monthly, ensuring all transactions are within one month and any discrepancies and roll overs are investigated and resolved before month end closed.
  • Conduct other payroll clerk duties which may include keep documentation of retirement payments, nontaxable earnings, maternity, vacation, and sick leave.
  • Evaluate all accounts receivable sub ledger daily to ensure accuracy and management of revenue and debtors from customers.
  • Prepare all customer account reconciliations by 5th working day of the following month, ensuring all
    discrepancies are resolved and only one month old.
  • Ensure all group, foreign and local customers and collected on time and the accuracy of payments made from customers are within 24 hours receipt of payment. This also includes the resolution of all discrepancies.
  • Monitor and calculate provision for bad debts according to blue book policy.
  • Comply and perform all duties in conformance with the Company’s/Department’s strategies along with the Quality Management System as it relates to health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other job duties as required by the job function

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management/FIA/ACCA Level 1 or other professional qualification in
    accounting from a recognised institution.
  • At least two (2) years experience in processing payroll/accounts receivables preferably within the
    manufacturing environment.
  • Practical experience in HCM Payroll 123, Microsoft Office Suite and D365 will be a definite asset.
