We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified individual for the role of Accounting Clerk

Key Duties

 

  • Ensure that all assigned work are completed daily with a summary by the fifth working day of the following month..
  • Assist with the management of receivables at all locations.
  • Ensure that the General Business accounts sub-ledger are balanced on a daily basis.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of variances in between internal statements and that of the insurance companies.
  • Assist the branches in processing and maintaining of data regarding cancellations, requesting, receiving and updating payment of additional premiums and other changes to be made to clients accounts.
  • Collate findings from cancellation notices so that the listing can be analyzed for action.
  • Monitor payments from finance companies
  • Maintain collection performance for reports for each branch
  • Assist with internal and external audits.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Associates degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related discipline, or pursuing Level 1 of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) examinations.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ working experience, preferably at a financial institution.
