Accounting Assistant

Salary: $5,500

• Ensure all expenses are paid on a timely basis.
  • Generate customers’ balance report weekly, send statements and follow up on all         outstanding receivables.
  • Prepare payslips and distribute to contractors, record payments in the system and        file accordingly.
  • Maintain an accounts payable report to be reviewed weekly and monitor aging of payables and action accordingly.

• Record all expenses, revenue and other financial transactions by the 15th of the following month.

• Apply payments received and send receipts to customers in a timely manner.
• Prepare and send quotations and invoices to customers as needed.

• Assist with adhoc accounting reports as required.
• Prepare cheques and payments vouchers along with online payment vouchers.
• Assist with preparation of schedules for Auditors including the Fixed Assets register.
• Prepare petty cash vouchers, disburse and reconcile.

• Reconcile credit card account before monthly payment is due.
•   Assist in maintenance of Accounting filing system.
•   Any other related duties assigned.

Requirements

• 1 Year experience in a similar position
• Currently pursuing ACCA qualification
• Experience in Quickbooks online and Peachtree accounting software will be considered an asset
