The Accounting Assistant is expected to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department
Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for maintaining the reports, monitor customer overdue balances and monitor hold/release of shipments.
Job Description:
- Apply customer prepayments to manifest generated invoices using Magaya system.
- Prepare and distribute customer statements using Magaya system.
- Handle respective related queries.
- Review and issue statements to customers using Magaya system.
- Diligently pursue collection of overdue customer balances to ensure within credit terms.
- Review and verify data entry for shipments and generate Invoices using Magaya system for
- Foreign and Local principals.
- Data entry for ASL in respective systems.
- Prepare ASL analyses and reports as required.
- Prepare assigned reconciliations for ASL and resolve open items.
- Other duties as required by function.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Level II ACCA Certification.
- A minimum of 2-3 years accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel or any equivalent combination of qualifications.
