Massy Wood is currently recruiting for an Accountant with experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Overview / Responsibilites
Review all reconciliations and year-end work papers pertaining to accounts payable, account receivable and general ledger transactions.
Review, code and process A/P, AR and general ledger on a daily basis, review, correct and distribute reports.
Effectively and efficiently handle inquiries from vendors and Customers.
Audit petty cash for reimbursement.
Audit employee expenses to ensure compliance with corporate policy before paying.
Supervision of junior staff members.
Assist Department Head or delegate with recommendations on system and reporting improvement.
Work at all times in conjunction with other teams within Massy Wood Group to ensure the efficient functioning of the Department and to achieve the overall goals of the Business Support Department.
Analyze Management accounts and provide monthly reports to key stakeholders.
Review Management accounts package monthly to submission to shareholders.
Prepare IFRS accounts annually.
Liaise with external and internal auditors providing explanations where necessary and preparation of audits.
Demonstrate acute awareness of all commercial terms of client contracts.
Adhere to commercial terms set with our clients and contracting community.
Perform all other related job functions as required.
Adherence to Departmental yearly KPI’s
Preparation of yearly Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS for external audit review.
Perform all other related job functions as required.
Qualifications
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or BSc in Finance
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position
Good communications and interpersonal skills
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and trustworthiness
Ability to synthesise complex or diverse information
Ability to work effectively and prioritise in a high performance, fast-paced work environment
Inspires and motivates others to work well and accepts feedback
Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
Ability to make decisions in a timely manner and exhibits sound and accurate judgment
Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly
Computer skills with experience in MS Office and Finance software packages.
Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
