Are you a detail-oriented and analytical accounting professional looking for an opportunity to grow in an innovative environment?

Our client, a leading technology solutions provider based in Kingston, Jamaica, is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join their team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations of multiple balance sheet and bank accounts.
  • Prepare financial reports, including monthly management accounts and regional campus accounts.
  • Oversee statutory reporting, including GCT returns and payroll statutory returns, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor and maintain the company’s fixed assets register.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Identify errors and recommend improvements to enhance financial efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACCA/CPA Level 2 certification.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in accounting, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books and QuickBooks.
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Deadline-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
