The Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting financial decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Accounts Payable (AP) Management:

  • Process, verify, and record vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
  • Prepare payment runs, including electronic transfers, cheques, and direct deposits.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and respond to queries regarding payments.
  • Assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts related to vendor payments.

Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:

  • Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received on time.
  • Follow up on outstanding balances and prepare aging reports.
  • Process receipts, post transactions, and reconcile accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for properly.
  • Investigate and resolve customer billing discrepancies.

Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements for TPC and Click Media TT and Subsidiaries
  • Analyze and investigate financial variances, providing summaries and reports.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations for General Ledger (GL) accounts.
  • Assist in preparing profit and loss statements and balance sheets for upper management review.
  • Support the preparation of audited financial statements for the subsidiary companies.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory tax filings (e.g., VAT, PAYE, NIS, Corporation Tax).
  • Maintain proper records for audit compliance and support external auditors during reviews.
  • Keep up to date with local accounting and tax regulations to ensure company compliance.

Other Financial Duties:

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support the annual and periodic stock counts, ensuring proper inventory valuation.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations.
  • Provide financial insights and reporting to assist in business decision-making.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations between LH Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and auditors.
  • Other Related duties as assigned
  • Promote safety awareness and the development of a Safety Culture within the company.
  • Liaise with external customers/contractors/suppliers as and when necessary.

Degree/Diploma and major if applicable:       

  • ACCA Chartered Accountant
  • Five (5) Years relevant work experience with supervision of accounting staff
  • Experience within a Manufacturing environment would be an asset
