REPORTS TO:  Director

WORK ENVIROMENT

Dental office is located on Tortola, British Virgin Islands and positioned in the heart of the capital, Road Town. The dental spa is a modern  facility with new equipment. Digital technology for prosthetic treatment is standard of care and most amenities of a main land office.  The patient flow is steady and can be gratifying to an experience dentist.  

PAYMENT ON COMMISSION OF 30-35% OF PRODUCTION

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES       Specific Duties

Patient Management

• Diagnose and treat patients to achieve excellent results within estimated treatment time with maximum concern for patient comfort and respect
• Deliver the highest quality care to patients
• Present treatment plans to patients

Practice Management

• Manage and direct staff assignments and activities in accordance with office policy and applicable laws
• Help manage dental office HIPPA privacy and compliance
• Know dental office contingency plans 

Practice Promotion

• Know the practice mission, long term business plan, and short-term goals
• Develop specific approaches to attract a constant influx of new patients and retain patients of record
• Maintain good relationships with other professionals in the community

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Management

• Help recruit, interview, select, and terminate staff members when appropriate
• Help resolve personnel issues within the office with the help of personnel involved
• Be an active participant in staff meetings

Education and Training of Staff

• Research new product and information to be used in the clinic setting and share with staff
• Share information learned at seminars and meeting with the rest of the office team

PERSONNEL REQIREMENTS

Educational

• Must have DDS or DMD degree form an accredited school
• Must be eligible to practice and be registered by the BVI Medical and Dental Council
• Must be fully registered in the UK, US or Canada Board certified
• Must have at least two years  postgraduate experience

Interpersonal

• Able to discuss all dental needs with patients, be objective and be pleasant
• Able to work with staff and convey needs in a participatory manner
• Able to work well in the community
