ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN LEAD

The Architectural Design Lead is responsible for managing the architectural design process for various projects within our organization. Their primary responsibility is to oversee communication, coordination, and review throughout the design phase, ensuring adherence to brand standards and operational requirements.

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:

• Managing architectural design-related projects, business and design processes, or partial segments of larger projects and processes as assigned.

• Maintaining and expanding the Sandals brand standards, keeping them relevant and up to date, including best practices and lessons learned.

• Providing guidance and support to project managers, project consultants, and stakeholders.

• Creating, managing, and distributing related corporate documentation (i.e., design review and approval templates, communication, and process guidelines) in collaboration with the Technical Services Department and other relevant parties.

• Reviewing contract, scope of work, deliverables, schedule, and budget with the assigned architectural consultant in conjunction with or as requested by the project managers.

• Reviewing of specified architectural material submissions as it relates to brand-specific products and product use.

• Maintaining a record of receipt for all architectural design phase deliverables.

• Working with the Technical Services Department and Property Management to set up review reports and recommendations for improvement.

• Identifying the need for consultants on each assigned project.

• Supporting and participating in the pre-opening punch list of architectural elements and finishes.

• Providing support to other design control team members in the process of their projects.

• Staying abreast of industry trends via media and comp set visits.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a creative agency or in-house design team.
• Expertise in graphic design, typography, and layout principles.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate and sell design concepts.
• A strategic mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for pushing creative boundaries.
