ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR - GUYANA

Summary of job function: This individual will be required to oversee the team as well as ensuring the efficient operations of the Guyana office. Responsible for achieving targets as set by senior executives of the parent company WSCL. This position is an autonomous role which requires the individual to operate with the highest level of professionalism. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the President and Business Unit Manager of the parent company WSCL, ensuring the timely submission of reports and updates based on set guidelines
  • Preparation of monthly, weekly and daily sales analysis based on targets set by the President or the Business Unit Manager
  • Responsible for the petty cash as well as balancing on a daily basis
  • Processing of NIS and P.A.Y.E payments
  • Oversees and facilitates the business operations of the Guyana office
  • Liaise with senior executives of the parent company to plan and coordinate procedures and implement systems to achieve the business objectives of the Guyana office
  • Assist in recruitment and training of personnel and delegating responsibilities accordingly
  • Able to assess staff performance, identify gaps , liaise with HR in order to recruit qualified and competent staff for the Guyana office
  • Ensures all company’s policies and procedures are adhered too by staff
  • Provides guidance and support to the sales team in attaining sales targets by implementing quality customer service standards and resolving problems
  • To keep abreast of market changes within the business environment and to seek out business opportunities for and on behalf of WSCL
  • Attends, network and promotional events to develop and maintain contact with existing and potential clients
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and product training
  • Making follow up calls to confirm sales orders and delivery dates
  • Responding to sales queries and customer inquiries via phone, email, written correspondences and personal visits
  • Perform any other related duties as required
  • Meet and execute KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI’s) as set out by the parent company WSCL
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Degree in Business Management with 3-5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • In-depth understanding of office management procedures, including provisions for statutory payments
  • Familiarity in financial management– including but not limited to preparation of budgets, IRD forms, NIS Compliances, TIN Certificates and VAT Registrations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Has a valid Driver’s Permit and owns a good working vehicle
  • Must be a team-player with strong leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience operating within the medical/scientific field will be considered an asset
