ACCOUNTING CLERK (Mandeville Depot)

Continental Baking Company Limited is seeking to recruit an Accounting Clerk, who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, report generation and recording a wide range of transactions, in support of the preparation of the Company’s financial reports and statements. The ideal candidate plays a critical role in providing basic accounting support for the Depot’s Team

Core Functions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation for all activities and transactions at the Depot.
  • Monitor accounts receivables and payables, ensuring accurate invoicing and the timely collections from customers and settlement of bills, on behalf of the Depot.
  • Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Accounting, Sales and Warehouse teams, to include but not limited to data entry, invoicing, customer payments, statements, imprest system, etc.
  • Conduct reconciliations on customer accounts; report any discrepancies found, in adherence with established policies and procedures.
  • Support and maintain the integrity of the Company’s accounting system, policies and standard.
  • Generate the relevant financial reports and analysis, in a timely basis.
  • Ensure full adherence to and compliance with all safety (food and physical), quality, environmental, regulatory standards and protocols.

Minimum Requirement: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Management Studies, Business Administration, Financial Reporting or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Expert knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
  • Accounting Certification and knowledge of Oracle software would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, with strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Excellent human relations, communication, time management, organizational, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Highly professional, ethical and of integrity.
  • May be required to work on weekends and public holidays, to meet operational demands.
