Rug Cleaner

To ensure that all carpets and tiles are kept cleaned to the established standard.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides courteous and professional service at all times.
• Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform/attire and nametag.
• Shampoos/extracts guest rooms and corridor carpet to the established standard.
• Extracts water from carpets and floors.
• Strips, scrubs, polishes, buffs, wax all tiled area and stairways.
• Ensures supply room is stocked with needed supplies.
• Assists in keeping all storage areas and linen rooms cleaned.
• Attends training when requested to ensure the development of proper skills necessary to perform duties.
• Ensures that equipment is properly functioning within the department, reports malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
• Reports any guest room and hallway carpet deficiencies to supervisor.
• Have a complete understanding and adheres to the policies within the employee handbook.
• Carries out any other duty requested by supervisor.
• Has a sound knowledge of the hotel's services and facilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
• Minimum 1 year experience as hotel cleaner or in janitorial / cleaning position preferred.
