PowerGen was established on 24 December, 1994 with the divestment of the generation assets of T&TEC. PowerGen is Trinidad’s largest and longest serving independent power producer and owns and operates two (2) power plants at Point Lisas and Penal providing 824 MW of power to the national grid”.
