Wire Rope Workshop Supervisor

To efficiently coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Wirerope workshop, provide excellent customer satisfaction and promote the department’s products and services.

• Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily updates on the progress of jobs, discuss with Manger/Team Lead any concerns, or constraints that may impact schedules, and determine how improvements can be implemented
  • Plan, prioritize, track and update work logs
  • Prepare daily work plans and worksheets including assigning manpower, material, tools, and equipment and provide job specifications as per client requirements
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and inform employees of work plans
  • Ensure jobs are being carried out in accordance with HSSE, quality and industry codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Keep Clients updated on the progress of jobs
  • Ensure all jobs are inspected and quality checks are carried out
  • Prepare certificates for completed jobs
  • Coordinate delivery of jobs with Clients and prepare the necessary documentation for delivery
  • Ensure jobs are invoiced and closed on the system
  • Assist with preparing quotations
  • Liaise with foremen and inspectors for updates on the status of jobs
  • Keep updated with the products and services being offered by the department
  • Provide excellent customer service. 
  • Manage Client’s request for information and provide feedback in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the operation of the warehouse including the maintaining of stock levels and the storing of materials, tools, and equipment. 
  • Coordinate the bi-annual recertification of rigging equipment
  • Assist with recertification
  • Ensure that housekeeping is observed in the workshop and warehouse
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or required

• Qualifications:
  • Certificate in Supervisory Management
  • Certified Quality Technician Certificate
  • Certificate in Defensive Driving
  • Certificate in Forklift Training

• Experience:
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in Wire Rope/ Rigging Environment with three years in a Supervisory role.
