Waste Disposable Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Waste Disposal Manager to oversee the collection, transportation, and proper disposal of waste materials. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, optimize waste management processes, and promote sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily waste collection, segregation, and disposal operations.
• Develop and implement efficient waste management plans and schedules.
• Ensure the availability and maintenance of waste disposal equipment including scheduling of preventative maintenance of trucks.
• Monitor adherence to environmental and waste disposal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Maintain proper documentation of waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Lead, train, and manage waste disposal staff.
• Assign tasks and monitor team performance to meet operational goals.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among the team.
• Identify opportunities for waste reduction, reuse, and recycling.
• Develop and implement sustainable waste management strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote environmental awareness.
• Prepare budgets for waste disposal operations and monitor expenditures.
• Analyze cost-effectiveness and implement cost-saving measures.
• Generate reports on waste management activities, including volumes, costs, and compliance metrics.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Create new business oportunities.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in waste management, logistics, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of waste disposal regulations and environmental laws.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in waste management software and reporting tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors and industrial sites.
• Capability to lift moderate weights and operate machinery, if necessary.

Benefits:

• Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per annum (consummate on qualifications)
• Additional Benefits: NHIP & NIB
• Vacation allotment: Twelve (12) Days per annum (pro rated)
• General Allowance: $6,600.00 per annum
