The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, organising, supervising and participating in the operations and activities of the Warehouse while supervising team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate team members and implement procedures/systems to ensure the accurate picking of products on invoice.
  • Validate items picked by team members to ensure accuracy of items being dispatched to customers.
  • Receive, examine, validate and document products returned from the trade and restock products
  • Coordinate and participate stock counts as required
  • Investigate, resolve and provide explanations for stock variances
  • Implement procedures/systems to mitigate against stock variances and damaged products
  • Ensure strategic and operational information, reports and metrics are available to share with others in the business as and when required i.e., product damages, stock variances etc.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities and resources to ensure the accurate receiving and systemized storage of products.
  • Coordinate the receiving, securing and storage products to prevent damages
  • Assist to develop and implement flexible solutions to aid business efficiency, drive process improvements and add value
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to
  • Take ownership of warehouse related issues that arise and take any follow up actions required
  • Investigate and implement system enhancement initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and facilitate reliable and on-time delivery of products 
  • Manage and direct team through sound personnel practices 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • An Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline.
  • Two (2) or more years’ related experience
  • Knowledge of warehousing and stock control methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology.
  • Space utilization and inventory techniques
  • Valid certificate in operating forklifts would be an asset
  • Proven people management abilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality systems, standards and process improvement techniques
