The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the movement, storage and usage of all goods.
Duties & Responsibilities
Receive, pick, check and/or load goods and track movements in/out of warehouse inventory.
To measure, weigh and decant raw materials as per approved batch sheets for subsequent days manufacturing as per Production schedule. All containers must be weighed/measured, and measurements recorded, before and after decanting materials. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately.
To prevent raw material expiration by utilizing FIFO and stock rotation principles. Report weekly on any goods due to expire within 6 months.
To accurately record any extra usage of goods.
Monitor raw materials levels and inform WIP Manager and Purchasing Officer to ensure continued adequacy to fulfill existing and future orders.
Update all BIN cards with the relevant stock movements in real time.
To carry out the weekly cycle counts on selected raw materials per schedule or as directed by WIP Manager.
To dispatch all WIP finished goods tankettes/drums to filling line for decanting. All WIP tankettes are weighed before and after each use and any variances reported immediately and investigated.
Monitor WIP finished goods levels and inform WIP Manager and Production Manager to ensure continued adequacy to fulfill existing and future orders.
To assist with stock counts and associated investigations and reconciliations at year-end or any other interval as deemed necessary.
To receive and record inventory on BIN Cards and store all raw materials in compliance with all applicable HSE policies, QC standards and FIFO principles.
To assist in the loading and offloading of trucks and shipping containers, both inbound and outbound.
To ensure proper housekeeping of the raw materials and finished goods storage areas.
To operate forklifts and all other equipment in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all HSSE and OSHA standards.
To adhere to all HSE guidelines and policies.
Function as a secondary driver and/or loader for deliveries within Trinidad & Tobago.
Any other Duties/Tasks as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 CXC O’Levels
Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position.
Valid Class 3 and Class 4 Trinidad & Tobago driver’s license free from any demerit points.
Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a Forklift.
Defensive Driving Training and a valid Forklift Operator certification would be an asset.
Certification in Warehousing and Inventory Management would be an asset.
Attention to details and accuracy.
A good team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively within strict timelines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Certification in Warehousing and Inventory Management would be an asset.
