TRUST ADMINISTRATOR

 

Applications are invited from persons with suitable qualifications to fill the position of “Trust Administrator” at the Trust Services Division.

 

The jobholder is responsible for providing support to the Manager, Trust Services in the delivery of an efficient and high-quality service to beneficiaries of Deceased Estates, Continuing Trusts, as well as Profit Sharing and Employees’ Share Ownership Plans and Pensions and Savings Plans.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Monitoring and reviewing work of all support staff, and in the process provide training, advice, guidance and assistance, and provide status report to management.
  • Conducting initial investigation of all new deceased estates, assess any possible complications in the estate, perform a cost/benefit analysis and make recommendations on the renunciation or acceptance of the estates and assign case to administrators.
  • Reviewing Trust Deeds and Rules of new Pensions and Saving Plans and analyse Wills and Continuing Trust deeds to ensure that the terms of these documents are carried out.
  • Ensuring timely preparation and check Executorship Accounts for submission to beneficiaries and the High Court.

 

GENERAL QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

The jobholder should have:

  • At least four (4) years’ experience as a Trust Administrator.
    • Any of the following qualifications:
  • Degree in Management/Law/Professional Trustee qualification (e.g. TEP)

OR

  • Completion of Trust and Estate Administration of ACIB or equivalent qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of the laws relating to Succession, Contract Wills, Trust, administration of estates, executorship, Land/Real Property, and trust accounting, the Income Tax Ordinance and the Insurance Act 1980, financial accounting, the practice and principles of pension & savings plan administration and other governing legislation.
  • Experience in filing of Grant of Probate applications with the Probate Registry will be an asset

 

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good Analytical, Investigative, Numeracy, Organizational, Innovative, HR Management, leadership and presentation skills.
