From its inception, the Trinidad and Tobago Mortgage Finance Company Limited (TTMF) has maintained a track record of offering affordable mortgage financing. TTMF provides financing for home purchase, construction, home improvement, purchase of land, and home equity. The Company was established in 1965.

With the Government of Trinidad and Tobago (GOTT), as a shareholder, the Company is mandated to provide financing for Government housing, particularly in the low and middle income segments. The mortgages conform to the regulations of the Housing Act 1962. TTMF also offers financing for housing on the open market (private developments).

TTMF is jointly owned by the Government, and the National Insurance Board (NIB).
