The Sales Supervisor shall report to the Commercial Manager and shall be responsible for supervising all Presellers. Duties include but not limited to the following: `

  • Ensure Presellers adhere to the Route schedule.
  • Assist the Preseller in maximizing opportunities to grow and generate sales.
  • Plans and implements sales visits as per a pre-designated route listing to ensure that each customer is maximizing volume potential at all times with respect to all sales channels.
  • Liaises with customers to maximize opportunity for servicing space allocations in store and back store.
  • Develops a recommended sales and marketing plan with key customers for sales managers’ approval.
  • Liaises with Distribution to ensure efficient customer service.
  • Ensure customer education and implementation of stock rotation to avoid the occurrence of expired products.
  • Assist Preseller with Managing customers’ accounts e.g., receivables, late bills and credits.
  • Establishes good customer relations with Key people in each Account by ensuring information is communicated to them on new products/packages, current and upcoming products/offers etc.
  • Works with Merchandising Supervisor to ensure a high level of merchandising service to relevant accounts.
  • Assist the Preseller with customer or dealer complaints satisfactorily, timely and effectively.
  • Prepares necessary sales reports and uses these in effectively managing the respective area.
  • Monitors competition in area and modify plans accordingly.
  • Executes all promotional activity to ensure effective customer service.
  • Liaises with Technical Services Supervisor to ensure repairs of post mix equipment is affected promptly.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  •  Five (5) CXC including English & Math
  • Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration with an emphasis on Sales & Marketing
  • Supervisory Experience in a unionized environment
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ Sales experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Environment
