Teller

To maintain prompt and efficient customer service through accurate processing of transactions

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s in Business Administration or any other related field
• One (1) to Two (2) years accounting experience, preferablyin a Payables Department. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process Money Transfer Transactions-Accurately         
• Payout Money Transfer (cash) to customers and give change where necessary
• Ensure send/receive Money Transfer forms are completed appropriately by customer.
• Check to ensure customer signature is captured.
• Ensure location cash payout limit is being observed.
• Properly file transaction receipts and forms daily.
• Balance cash daily & follow the balancing procedure.
• Monitor cash in hand during work day. Transfer excess to Vault/Supervisor/ Teller or   request cash from Vault /Supervisor/Teller to satisfy deficiency.
• Tellers must ensure that cash is not left unattended.
• Tellers must log out of the system when leaving station
• Tellers are responsible for keys to cash pan-drawers-vault / safe while in their custody. 
• Cash being received by Tellers from vault must be checked and recorded at all times.
• Overnight Teller bags should be re-checked before starting daily activities.
• Prepare necessary documents for remittances to be processed.
• Deal effectively with customers’ queries regarding remittances.
• Dispatch correspondence, transaction receipts, forms to relevant areas.
• Assist in the processing of all mail received daily.
