The Technical Sales Representative (HILTI) is responsible for professional field sales and high-level customer consultation in the defined territory within the target industry.

JOB SUMMARY 

The Technical Sales Representative (HILTI) is responsible for professional field sales and high-level customer consultation in the defined territory within the target industry. The incumbent is required to provide efficient solutions and technical support to customers and represent the Hilti brand in the marketplace. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES 

  • Establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services. 
  • Demonstrating products and services to existing/potential customers and assisting them in selecting those best suited to their needs. 
  • Making telephone calls and in-person visits to our existing customers (onshore/offshore/office). 
  • Researching sources for developing prospective customers and researching information to determine their potential. 
  • Developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. 
  • Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints by providing efficient solutions and technical support. 
  • Analyzing the territory/market’s potential and determining the value of existing and prospective customers’ to the organization. 
  • Identifying advantages and comparing organization’s products/services. 
  • Planning and organizing personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment. 
  • Supplying management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services. 
  • Keeping abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas. 
  • To perform any duties that management may from time to time assign to this position.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Sales oriented with experience working within the construction or oil and gas sector. 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to identify, analyze, prioritize, and develop plans and strategies to grow the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dynamic personality with strong winning and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Must be sales driven, customer focused and a team player.
  • Must have a valid Trinidad and Tobago driver’s permit.
