Seeking a Surveillance Systems Specialist with CCTV, alarms, and network skills to manage security systems across sites. Must have a reliable vehicle.

We are looking for a Surveillance Systems Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for a seasoned CCTV and Alarms expert with a solid understanding of network infrastructure and a commitment to upholding our security standards across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of surveillance and alarm systems, ensuring these systems are seamlessly integrated into our networked environments. Must own a reliable vehicle for travel between locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain CCTV and alarm systems across various company locations, adhering to operational and security standards.
  • Network Integration: Work closely with the IT team to integrate surveillance systems into our network, ensuring secure and continuous connectivity.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance and provide rapid troubleshooting to resolve issues with surveillance and alarm systems, including network-related concerns.
  • Network Optimization: Implement network best practices within surveillance systems, focusing on bandwidth efficiency, data storage, and device connectivity.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all systems comply with internal policies and security protocols to protect both physical and data assets.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of system installations, configurations, network diagrams, and corrective actions.
  • Training & Support: Train and support security personnel on system usage, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Availability: Must be able to work on weekends and after hours when necessary, depending on project deadlines or urgent security needs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in CCTV and alarms installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of IP networking, VLANs, firewall management, and network security principles.
  • Familiarity with inter-VLAN routing, access control lists, bandwidth management, and remote access tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel between locations.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, or similar) are an advantage.

Education & Experience:

  • Professional qualifications in CCTV, Alarms, Fire Systems, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in surveillance or alarm systems with a strong networking background.
Requirements: 
  • Must provide a recent Certificate of Character or proof of application (receipt) as part of the hiring process.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel between locations.
