We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position at The Naughty Grape retail store:

STORE SUPERVISOR

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:  

  • Supervises all daily operations including all activities of the Sales Associates
  • Ensures proactive, prompt, courteous and efficient in-store customer service, including advising customers on product purchases according to their needs
  • Ensures prompt handling and resolution of customers’ issues
  • Holder of premise keys with shared responsibility for store opening and closing
  • Assists with the drafting of weekly rosters in collaboration with the Retail Chain Supervisor
  • Assists with record keeping as it relates to punctuality, attendance and overtime
  • Regularly checks system for internet or WhatsApp orders and processes accordingly
  • Initiates routine checks to monitor and maintain accurate stock levels of inventories, advising the Retail Services Supervisor of reorder quantities and ensuring there are no stock outs
  • Responsible for the receipt and verification of all items/goods received at the store (inclusive of operational and maintenance type goods) ensuring all paperwork is received and processed accordingly and that all stock is appropriately stored
  • Ensures that stock rotation measures are adhered to in an effort to minimize write-offs
  • Conducts weekly cycle counts on key product categories reporting results to the Retail Chain Supervisor
  • Receives payments for sales transactions and accurately provides customers with receipt and change as required
  • Balances daily cash transactions and prepares bank deposits
  • Prepares summary sheet and daily delivery order for submission to Accounts Department
  • Assists with the preparation of Customs & Excise Division reports
  • Monitors and maintains in-store stock displays, shelves and aisles to ensure visibility of products and correct pricing at all times
  • Continually increases knowledge of all products, pricing and promotions
  • Assists with general housekeeping (sweeping, mopping and removal of garbage) and maintains the shop floor by dusting shelves & product
  • Delivers orders to customers and accepts payments, as required
  • Executes assigned projects as may be required from time to time

Knowledge and Experience:

  • A Diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a retail sales environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
