We are seeking a passionate and qualified High School Social Studies Teacher with a specialized focus on Human Geography/Contemporary Issues. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education, a deep understanding of the MYP and AP curricula.
Education and Related Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in subject area from an accredited university
Valid registration with the Ministry of Education or possess a valid teaching certification
Master’s of Education or equivalent will be considered an asset
At least three (3) years of current teaching experience in the specific subject area relevant to the vacant position.
Proven experience teaching high school students, with a track record of successful student outcomes.
MYP and AP experience preferred

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies based on student needs and changing circumstances.

Advanced skill in dealing with students and staff with diverse needs at various levels.
Operating knowledge of and experience with educational technology and 21st-century learning.
