Senior Business Development Officer

The senior lending officer will be responsible for meeting annual targets in terms of loans, as well as with the management of arrears and recoveries. The individual will also be responsible for managing the deliverables (loan and arrears targets) for junior lending officers.

The Senior Lending Officer supports the Loan for Enterprise and Network Development (LEND) Agency’s operational, training and development strategy by:

1. Meeting lending targets set.
2. Providing oversight to junior Business Development Officers (BDOs) to improve screening of loan applicants to meet the required lending criteria by examining their creditworthiness and thereafter recommending the approval of loans.
3. Working with BDOs to ensure that they meet lending targets.
4. Contribute to the formulation of marketing strategies.
5. Stabilization, control, management, and systematic reduction of LEND's arrears ratio in accordance with the targets for the organization.
6. Recommending and training BDOs on relevant and effective collection procedures including bailiff and legal action.
