Security Officer (Grenada)

Main Responsibilities:

• Patrol designated areas to ensure the security of premises, personnel, and property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Investigate alarms and disturbances, providing detailed reports of activities.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Operate screening devices to vet individuals and prevent passage of prohibited items into restricted areas.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and engage agreed protocol to manage disturbances.
• Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals or items to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position.
• Completion of Secondary School or equivalent.
• Possesses 2-3 CXC certifications inclusive of English Language.
• Valid Certificate of Character.
• Strong sense of professionalism and commitment to integrity
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
