Position Title: Security Guard
Location: Hill Run, St. Catherine
Job Summary: The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, assets, staff, and visitors. They will enforce rules, respond to emergencies, and provide assistance when needed. The Security Guard must maintain a vigilant presence and act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol and Monitor: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address security risks. Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems to ensure the safety of the premises.
Security Checks: Perform thorough checks of individuals and vehicles entering and exiting the premises. Verify identification and permits as necessary.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies such as fires or medical incidents. Take appropriate action to secure the area and assist emergency responders as required.
Report Writing: Maintain detailed logs and reports of incidents, observations, and activities. Document any breaches of security or incidents in a timely and accurate manner.
Customer Service: Provide a courteous and professional approach to all staff, visitors, and clients. Offer assistance and guidance when needed, ensuring a positive experience.
Enforcement of Regulations: Enforce company policies and procedures regarding security and safety. Take necessary steps to prevent unauthorized access or activities.
Safety Procedures: Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct safety drills and exercises as required.
Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and security audits periodically. Make recommendations for improvements in security measures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position preferred.
- Strong observation and surveillance skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
