Scientific Laboratory Specialist
The Scientific Laboratory Specialist will be responsible for the Sales and Marketing of Scientific Laboratory Equipment and Supplies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Promotes/Sells/Secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
Demonstrates Scientific and Laboratory products and services to existing / potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs
Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organizations products / services
Prepares reports for management on customer needs and potential for new products and services
Prepares effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers
Keeps up to date with Scientific and Laboratory product applications, technical services, market conditions competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
Participate in trade shows and convention.
Qualifications and Experience
Technician’s Diploma or Tertiary Level qualifications in Science
Degree in the field of marketing or natural sciences would be an asset
A minimum of 5years laboratory experience
Experience in negotiating with clients and closing deals
Experience in the sales and marketing of laboratory products will be a definite asset
Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and supplies
Strong customer service skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Has a valid Drivers Permit and owns a vehicle
Able to travel on short notice and has a valid passport
Effective Report Writing Skills
Ability to speak Spanish will be an asset
