The Sales Team Leader manage the sales process in the LPG categories. Great emphasis is placed on offering excellent customer service in keeping with the policies of the Company.
Job duties
Ensures that all requests for product; 20lb, 100lb and House-to-House LPG are dispatched immediately to the designated sales personnel for delivery in keeping with customer’s request.
Ensures that all requests for LPG (including one hundred pound cylinders) are delivered to customers within forty-eight (48) hours of the order being received.
Reviews the Customer Route Sheet for all products from the prior day’s sales and seeks explanations from all drivers as to non-adherence.
Provides the current day’s approved customer route sheet for 20lb customers plus customers not serviced from the prior day’s route sheets.
Ensures that the approved customer route sheet for 20lb customers is adhered to by all drivers.
Tracks the progress of Salesmen performance against approved sales targets and investigates and analyzes variances through discussion with them and Sales Managers.
Works with other STLs for the speedy resolution of all customer complaints and communicates with customers on resolutions of complaints/concerns immediately once the issue has been resolved.
Reviews and updates on a daily basis, the spreadsheet for all 20lb.
Follows up on a daily basis at strategic and consistent intervals with House-to-House Contractors in an effort to support the sales process by dispatching relay vehicles as required.
Capture new business opportunities for additional sales to meet targets.
Generates Sales Analysis Reports and Management Reports on a monthly basis.
Dispatches the sales vehicles on a daily basis and assigns labour to relevant trucks, ensuring adequate staff.
Verifies cylinder stocks of all LPG gas trucks upon entry and exiting the compound.
Ensures trucks are loaded with relevant cylinders for sales.
Performs stock counts of all cylinder empties and reconciliation at the start and end of shift.
Verifies daily sales vs. daily cash report (DCR) and ensure reconciliation. All variances must be reported to Management and Finance.
Daily review of route sheets for 20lb Depot customers and necessary action taken. Must collect all blue copies of orders for 100lb which represents orders not delivered and schedule for delivery with immediate relevant action.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Certificate from a recognized institution in Administration, Business Management or a related field
2-3 years working experience with supervisory experience
Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
