Responsible for servicing all accounts within assigned territory to maximize profitability, distribution and volume sales and making customers aware of the products distributed by the Company and generate sales consistently.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate and service current customer accounts, while acquiring new business prospects.
  • Manage and achieve monthly sales quotas
  • Assist in monitoring the activities of the merchandisers in assigned territory.
  • Develop ideas to create sales for major accounts
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities, managing time and productivity.
  • Arrange and participate in meeting conferences and project team activities
  • Maintain and update relevant customer information (contact tools on system)
  • Respond and follow up sales inquiries using ethical and appropriate methods
  • Ensure monthly collection targets are achieved
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and

       information.

  • Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally, to facilitate the development of a good

       customer relationship.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

Your performance will be assessed by the degree of success achieved in meeting the objectives outlined above and demonstrating or executing the following to include:

  1. Partner with customers to ensure maximum distribution of the company’s product portfolio.
  2. Execute sales strategies to ensure target achievement . Please note your minimum acceptable performance will be 80% of assigned target. Should your performance go below 80% for three (3) consecutive months or your overall achievement within a six (6) month period fall below 80% you will be placed on a PIP where your suitability for continued employment is dependent on a successful review throughout the period of the PIP.
  3. Manage product shelf life to prevent bad goods write offs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/Associate Degree in  Marketing &/or Business Management
  • Two years experience in Field Sales
  • Excellent Customer Service  Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent Time Management, Customer Service Skills and analytical skills
  • Excellent  written and oral communication
  • Excellent people skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Must be able to function independently and handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure.
  • Must own a reliable motor vehicle and possess a valid driver licence.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Liaises with Customers, Sales Representatives, Marketing, Warehouse personnel and Managers
