The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales and gross profit targets, developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales and gross profit targets, developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments, and liaising with various departments to meet customer needs. The Sales Representative will also be responsible for completing proposals, closing sales opportunities, managing large-scale technical projects, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

    1. Achieve Sales and Gross Profit Targets:

      • Meet or exceed sales and gross profit targets set by the company through strategic selling and customer relationship management.
    2. Customer Relationship Management:

      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
      • Conduct regular customer visits to assess satisfaction, gather market intelligence, and deepen relationships.
    3. Account Maintenance & Collections:

      • Ensure proper maintenance of customer accounts and work closely with Accounts Receivables to ensure timely payment collection.
      • Liaise with customers to resolve any payment-related issues within the specified timeframe.
    4. Sales Activities & Proposals:

      • Complete sales proposals, quotations, and follow up on opportunities quickly and efficiently to close sales.
      • Provide feedback and recommendations to management regarding customer targets and performance.
    5. Cross-Departmental Coordination:

      • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
      • Liaise with Customer Service Representatives to ensure goods are properly booked, invoiced, and any backorders are updated promptly.
    6. Delivery Management:

      • Take responsibility for following up on the timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
    7. Project Management:

      • Liaise with Commercial Manager and Projects team for large-scale technical projects, ensuring that all aspects are delivered on time and within scope.
    8. Other Responsibilities:

      • Assist in monthly and annual stock taking as required.
      • Promote safety awareness 
      • Liaise with external customers, contractors, and suppliers when necessary.
      • Ensure compliance with all company policies
      • Perform company courier duties as directed.
      • Undertake any other duties as required by management to meet business needs

Qualifications:

    • Degree in Sales and Marketing.
    • Proven experience in sales, account management, or customer service
    • Relevant certifications or training in sales techniques, project management, or related areas.
    • Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
    • Familiarity with sales processes and CRM systems.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
