Sales Manager (Permanent)

SALES MANAGER

(PERMANENT)

Location:  Port of Spain

Sector: Retail

Base Salary: $10,000.00 per month + incentives

Required to work on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  

Key Responsibilities are as follows:

Leading the Sales Team

  • Management of Sales Personnel's performance and customer service.
  • Setting goals, tracking performance metrics, and implementing strategies to achieve sales goals as pertaining to conversion of quotations to orders and orders to invoices.
  • Assisting sales reps in time management by setting schedules for the smooth running of show room, customer service and on-site customer service.
  • Staying updated with product knowledge and industry trends.

Managing Sales

  • Daily review of the end of day sales reports.
  • Weekly and monthly analysis of the actual sales achieved versus budgets and submitting report to Management.
  • Maintenance of system sales order file and quotation file.
  • Expand the customer base.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels and timely deliveries.
  • Analyze store performance data and develop action plans to improve results.
  • Reinforce efficient sales through responsibility in inventory.
  • Accompany sales reps to construction sites when necessary.

Supervising Customer Service

  • Ensuring high standard of service delivered through agreed operating procedures on Sale etiquette
  • Ensure that the customer’s needs and inquiries are understood and they are provided with expert advice
  • Ensure that customer complaints are handled in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure that the sales team are aware of the product features and benefits so that this can be conveyed to customers
  • Maintaining the showroom - clean, organized, well-presented and inviting at all times
  • Ensure well maintained service areas and that customers are greeted and assisted as they enter the showroom
  • Training, supervising and participating in hiring store staff.

 

The Other responsibilities include ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, Health and Safety regulations as well as the opening and closing the store according to established procedures

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum five (5) CXC passes which must include English and Mathematics
  • Minimum of seven (7) years in Sales
  • Exposure to Home Improvement, Showrooms, Hardwares, Construction industry and/or Design industry would be an asset

 Requirements:

  • A Police Certificate of Good Character
  • A Vehicle
