Blue Waters St. Lucia Ltd is inviting suitably qualified persons to join our team in the position of
Sales Manager.

General Purpose:
To lead the development of the Retail Channel within the market by leveraging channel expertise in maximizing revenue and net price. The job holder will develop and implement the Annual Operational Plan for the relevant Business Units, Sales and Numeric Distribution Plan and ensure the “Retail Look of Success” in all Channels. He/she will lead a team to execute on approved Sales and Merchandising plans in line with the Company’s strategic objectives

Duties and Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

GROW VOLUME, REVENUE AND SHARE IN ASSIGNED ACCOUNTS

  • Lead the development and sell-in of effective Channel Development programs
  • Develop market standards for merchandising, promotions, equipment, and service
  • Create an effective pricing plan for each Channel
  • Identify and target low sell Stock Keeping Unit’s (SKUs) to improve brand and SKU penetration
  • Manage and grow all Business Units and SKU net prices
  • On time preparation and submission of Business Unit and National Sales Monthly Recurrent Expenditure (RE) forecasting
  • On time and in full preparation of Annual Budgets for all Business Units and National Sales

 

EXECUTE PLANS WITH CHANNEL CUSTOMERS

  • Communicate standards and channel priorities to the Sales and Merchandising teams
  • Implement systems to ensure promotion calendars are distributed to the Sales and Merchandising team in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a physical presence in the field to reinforce the channel strategy 
  • Monitor the team’s performance and compliance with channel tactics
  • Participate in Business Reviews with priority customers with TDSs and Business Unit Manager

 

 

ACHIEVE PENETRATION GOALS BY ROUTE

  • Target new business opportunities in each Business Unit to improve penetration
  • Manage daily/monthly visit and order strike rates
  • Increase purchasing customers in non-water category to improve net price

 

EFFECTIVE PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP

  • Perform the full range of Performance Management activities for support staff in accordance with the expected standards, inclusive of taking corrective action for non-performance and recognizing top performers in a timely manner.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance/improve the engagement levels within the team.
  • Monitor the team’s time and attendance and take corrective action for non-compliance with the required standards.
  • Identify the training and learning needs of support staff and recommend /implement appropriate interventions to address identified needs. This includes coaching and provide technical guidance, when required.
  • Establish routines to ensure a “day in the life of” is executed for all positions in National Sales
  • Work-withs and one on ones completed as scheduled
  • Lead, supervisor, and coach the Delivery Supervisors that lead the orchestration of customer experience delivery in the field
  • Assist in maintaining the ideal team complement by recommending suitably candidates to fill vacancies in a timely manner

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • ERP experience such as Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) will be considered an asset

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a BSc. in Sales, Business, Marketing or a related field

EXPERIENCES

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales and Distribution in the beverage industry.
  • At least 3 years’ experience managing and developing the performance of support staff.
  • Knowledge of St. Lucia’s geography and road network would be considered an asset.
  • Working vehicle with insurance.
  • Valid Driver’s License
