Job Summary:

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all functions of the local sales department under the direction of the General Manager. This role involves strategic planning, coordinating sales activities, managing budgets, controlling receivables, and leading a dedicated sales team. Your goal will be to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability within the sales department while promoting workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the sales department and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs).
  • Prepare and implement annual sales budgets and expense targets.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to the Marketing Department.
  • Restructure and optimize the sales team for maximum efficiency.
  • Develop sales plans and identify new business opportunities.
  • Focus on industrial sales and marketing to develop various product categories.
  • Implement and review annual sales forecasts, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Maintain and increase sales volumes, product mix, and pricing.
  • Conduct monthly sales meetings and provide timely sales reports.
  • Develop action plans to address sales gaps and improve performance.
  • Ensure effective communication and reporting systems are in place.
  • Manage recruitment, orientation, and training of sales staff.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager with a successful track record of leading and achieving sales targets; minimum 7 years’ experience at the Senior Management level.
  • Proficiency in using production reports, purchase requisitions, time sheets, performance appraisal forms, and other company-specific systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in using sales management and CRM software.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, and email communication.
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Skilled in data gathering, information compilation, and report preparation.
  • Passionate about quality and service delivery.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
