Qualified Air Traffic Control Officer

These vacancies are due to recent increases in Air traffic in the Cayman Islands TMA. It is anticipated that successful candidates can expect to be offered a 2 year contract initially. Competitive remuneration & benefits packages will be offered to appropriately qualified candidates.

CIAA is seeking experienced Officers that are currently licenced by an ICAO state and possess certification and have experience in procedural Approach and Aerodrome Control.

Successful candidates will have to be able to:

1.       Meet the requirements for the issuance of a Cayman Islands Air Traffic Controller’s Licence, issued by the   Civil Aviation Authority, Cayman Islands (CAACI)

2.        Possess certificate ratings in procedural Aerodrome and Approach Control.

3.       Meet the requirements for a 3rd Class aviation medical

4.       An On- the –job Training Instructor rating would be advantageous.

5.       Ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Air Traffic Control.

Salary range USD 56,138 – 84,294.00 p.a. and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include; 18 working days paid annual vacation, a contributory pension plan and non-contributory health insurance.

Short listed candidates will need to submit to a pre-employment drug screen, medical exam, as well as previous employment & background due diligence checks and be able to produce a clean police record, as a condition of employment. Security requirements for this position require that candidates can account for the preceding five (5) years’ of work history.
