The Process Operator has responsibility for operating, troubleshooting and maintaining equipment efficiently and safely.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Operate process equipment according to work instructions in a safe manner to achieve efficiency and meet quality standards
    • Troubleshoot and correct problems with equipment
    • Perform basic preventative and corrective maintenance activities on equipment
    • Report nonconformances and downtimes to the Process Shift Manager
    • Perform duties in compliance with and support Occupational Safety (e.g. ISO 18000), Food Safety (e.g. FSC 22000), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality (e.g. 9001), Environmental standards (e.g. ISO 14000) and any other third-party management systems as required
    • Perform sanitation and housekeeping activities according to procedures and GMP practices
    • Ensure adequate material stock levels and conduct stock counts at the designated frequency and as required
    • Conduct quality tests on process samples
    • Perform effective shift handovers
    • Any other duty as may be assigned within the scope of the job
    • Attend trainings and meetings scheduled by the Company
    • Complete logs in an accurate and timely manner

JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES [Minimum]

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent with at least one (1) year related experience
  • Technical background with experience in Industrial Maintenance
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Productivity tools (Word, Excel) and other computer-related systems
  • Sound research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication skills – written and verbal with the ability to interact well with varying staff levels
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work on own initiative and as a part of a team
  • High attention to detail with the ability to function well in a demanding work environment
