Process Engineer II
Position Summary
The Engineer II, Process develops and implements plant improvement projects for the plant(s). The incumbent ensures proper evaluations and monitoring of plant equipment/systems are done at the plant(s). He/she provides guidance to Junior Process Engineers and Technical Department staff as well as Operations, Maintenance and Reliability.
Responsibilities
• Monitors plant process inclusive of equipment/systems and catalyst evaluations. Provides support to Utilities monitoring and operations when required.
• Develops and implements all plant improvement projects which involves engineering calculations, hazard analyses and monitoring after implementation.
• Provides technical support especially for catalyst reductions, refractory dry-out and monitoring of key equipment.
• Conducts investigations which includes plant trips as well as other plant incidents.
• Participates in Site and Global team meetings and ensures established targets are met.
• Develops procedures for commissioning new equipment, changing catalyst, performing catalyst reductions etc.
• Develops procedures for special plant testing and monitoring.
• Provides technical support to the development of operating procedures by Operations.
Qualifications
• B.Sc. Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering
Experience
• A minimum of four to five (4-5) years work experience in Process Engineering field
