Records Officer (PIDG/RIM 2)
CONFIDENTIAL REGISTRY
The Jamaica Council for Persons with Disabilities (JCPD) is seeking to identify a suitably qualified candidate to fill the above-mentioned post.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Communicate with authorized stakeholders to the relevant information in the Confidential Registry
- Organize documents/records
- Manage documents/records stored
- Retrieve documents/records
- Manage filing system implemented and administered
- Prepare Letters, memoranda, reports and Minutes
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
The position requires any of the following qualifications/experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a Social Science or Library Science from a recognized institution
OR
- Certificate/Diploma in Records Management from a recognized institution
- Formal training in Records Management and Information systems, Procedures and Practices and automated technologies as it relates to Records Management
- At least two (2) year’s related working experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
The position requires any of the following knowledge/skills:
- Sound knowledge of file and records creation, maintenance, preservation, organization and disposal
- Knowledge of office procedures
- Working knowledge of relevant computer packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications and records management systems
