JOB SUMMARY 

The Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting Amplia’s Business Team in selling technology solutions to prospective and existing business customers. The Pre-Sales engineer must possess technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, project implementation capabilities and a track record in selling complex enterprise solutions. This role involves matching customer requirements to proposed solutions, delivering compelling presentations to demonstrate the capabilities and benefits to help clients understand how the company's solutions can meet their needs and driving key implementations which would be aligned with monthly, quarterly and yearly business sales targets.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Partners with and assists sales executives to qualify business customers for Business solutions aligned with organizational goals and KPIs.
  • Assists with planning, preparing and executing on strategic deals in complex sales cycles and own the technical architecture design.
  • Assists business sales executives with delivering powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.
  • Accelerates opportunities through the sales funnel by providing solutions through the presales process.
  • Answers technical queries regarding the product design, solution, architecture and security of the proposed solution to business customers.
  • Architects’ solutions to meet customer requirements within industry and technology best practices.
  • Analyzes the technical feasibility and economic viability of the solutions proposed to customers.
  • Coordinates sales technical training to heighten sales team knowledge of technical capabilities.
  • Liaises with the marketing team for product & solution collaterals, market needs, and competitive analysis.
  • Manages all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses.
  • Renders pre-sales and post-sales support for business clients.
  • Communicates effectively the needs of the clients to our internal developers.
  • Responsible for researching costing of proposed solutions, locating and liaising with potential vendors for solutions.
  • Effectively communicates client needs to the relevant teams for future product enhancements.
  • Collects and documents competitive intelligence.
  • Drives the direction and development of the proposed solution and manages implementation for the business customer.
  • Provides strategic and technical support and escalation to the Engineering team where required.
  • Assists with provisioning and configuring Enterprise Circuits as needed.
  • Create/review and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration of solutions.
  • Functions as an escalation point for circuit issues and acts as a senior customer interfacing engineer on required scenarios.
  • Effectively collaborates with engineering team, product and procurement to ensure that everyone is aligned and can contribute their expertise to drive sales success.
REQUIREMENTS 
  • BSc in Information Technology, Telecom, Computer-Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) will be an asset.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience of hands-on experience in the field of Network/Telecom, directly working with and supporting network infrastructure including FTTx and GPON technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols and technologies, including routing, switching, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VLANs and VPNs.
  • Proficiency in Network design, Visio, Implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to configure and optimize network equipment and PBX.
  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions.
  • Familiarity with provisioning and supporting Enterprise customer services.
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts to customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills.
