Job Title: Porting Sales Agent (TOBAGO)

 

 

Primary objective of the job: 

 

The Porting Sales Agent is responsible for growing the business and meeting sales targets for Digicel Trinidad Limited, in the product categories of prepaid and postpaid mobile ports. It will involve business development across the consumer account base and other suitable customers.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record prospect information on the application form and maintain a listing.
  • Achieve sales objectives while providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Actively brings brand awareness to new communities via face-to-face sales to generate new business.
  • Collaborate with other departments (internally and externally) to meet sales objectives.
  • Continuously seek and capitalize on opportunities to exceed the expectations of customers, by placing a keen interest on understanding and effectively resolving customer-impacting issues in a professional and result-oriented manner. 
  • Ensure that all information is logged timely and accurately on all sales-related reporting databases, mechanisms and reporting tools as required. 
  • Attend and actively participate in all products and services training, utilize the acquired skills and product knowledge to enhance customer service delivery and make recommendations for improvement.

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of five (5) CSEC passes including Mathematics and English Language
  • Minimum of two (2) years sales experience in a customer-centric environment
  • Knowledge of the Telecommunication industry would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements. 

 

Functional Skills:

  • The ability to think laterally in identifying new business opportunities. 
  • The ability to multi-task is essential. 
  • Knowledge of a second language (Spanish, French, etc.) would be considered an asset.
