Pension Administrator

The Pension Administrator is responsible for providing effective and efficient support through administrative, accounting and counseling services for assigned pension programs in collaboration with trustees. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the administrative and accounting functions of the pension program
  • In accordance with schedules and service delivery standards, provide administrative and accounting services to members, inclusive of enrollments, terminations, member updates, transfers, payment processing, benefit statements etc.
  • Provide trustees, human resource and team members with information regarding the plan and benefit distributions
  • Conduct planning and sensitizing sessions for members
  • Maintain current knowledge of pension regulations, compliance, any changes and developments by attending and participating in educational and training sessions.
  • Maintain retiree database up-to-date and accurate
  • Provide support in annual pension audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Reconcile and process contributions
  • Arrange payments, transfers on behalf of members
  • Conduct periodic audits of member eligibility to ensure that all eligible employees are enrolled
  • Reconciling accounts as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in pension administration
  • Sound understanding of pension regulations and procedures
  • Should be flexible and adaptable with a customer centric approach
  • Must be detail oriented and analytical with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Should be able to devise long range goals and objectives to meet the targets of the Business
  • Must have sound fiduciary experience.
  • Must possess the ability to liaise with local and international partners and forge partnerships
