Payroll Officer
The Role
The Payroll Officer is accountable for collecting timekeeping information, inputting deductions into periodic payroll, issuing pay and communicating pay related information to relevant stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Collecting and verifying payroll source information
- Entering employee information and payroll data into the payroll system
- Answering employee’s questions and concerns regarding payroll
- Calculating payable hours, taxes and deductions
- Issuing statements detailing earnings and deductions
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies
- Maintaining and updating payroll records
- Preparing periodic payroll reports
- Entering payroll journals
A Little Bit About You
- Should have good organizational skills, analytical skills, interpersonal communication skills (written and oral) and be detail oriented
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in team driven environment and be able to work independently to complete daily expectations
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be flexible, customer focused and an agent of change
- Must have strong Accounting background
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
