The incumbent is responsible for leading and managing the Parts Team to ensure that profitability targets and Key Performance Indicators are attained.

A leading automotive Group of Companies is seeking to find a capable individual with a strong work ethic and exemplary leadership skills to fill the position of:

      PARTS MANAGER

The key duties of this role includes:

* Leading, developing and motivating the Parts Team by encouraging team members to demonstrate

   Customer First Behaviors in all interactions with customers and colleagues

* Ensuring the Parts Team works closely with colleagues in Service, Sales and Administration to deliver outstanding 

  customer service

* Managing the day to day operations of the Parts Department to ensure the achievement of Key Performance Indicators

* Driving performance to achieve key targets and delivering continous improvement

* Maintaining agreed profit margins and return on investment by selling the maximum amount of parts to trade and 

   retail customers

* Maintaining an efficient parts service to other departments within the dealership

* Analysing sales data, placing emphasis on selling the most profitable lines

* Maintaining stock levels and purchases within agreed budgets

* Implementing systems to monitor and record lost sales, reviewing data and taking appropriate action

* Controlling and meetingbudgetary spending targets, discussing significant variances with Department Head

 

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

* Professional qualification in Logistics, management or related field

* A minimum of four years' experience in a similar role

* Strong leaderhip skills with the ability to engage and motivate team members

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Proficient in the use of parts software

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint

* Knowledge of the automotive industry would be an asset

* Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
