The Pantry Chef is responsible for preparing and maintaining the pantry section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role involves managing inventory, preparing cold dishes, and supporting other kitchen staff during service.

We are seeking suitable applicants to fill the position of a Pantry Chef / Garde Manger

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, and desserts.
  • Ensure all pantry items are fresh, well-prepared, and presented attractively.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff to create seasonal menus.
  • Assist in training junior kitchen staff in pantry preparation techniques.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation before serving.
  • Participate in daily kitchen meetings to discuss specials, inventory, and staffing needs.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Pantry Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Passion for food and creativity in presentation.
